Welcome to the 2012 Tuscaloosa Air Show presented by McAlister's Deli - Tuscaloosa Alabama

Welcome to the 2012 Tuscaloosa Air Show presented by McAlister's Deli located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  We are delighted to have you as our guests for the city’s third air show in the past four years, and we welcome you with open arms!

The theme for the 2012 Tuscaloosa Regional Air Show presented by McAlister's Deli, which takes place March 31 and April 1, is "Honoring our Heroes."  It is with pride that we recognize the heroes that we have locally, regionally and nationally.  This year’s air show allows us to salute those who have made a difference in the lives of others, whether they are a veteran, teacher, civic leader, first responder, tornado survivor, coach, mom or dad.

We are pleased to welcome back the world-famous U.S. Navy Blue Angels for what is sure to be another thrilling performance.  This 2012 event holds an exciting opportunity for Alabama native, Blue Angel #6, LT. Dave Tickle, to perform in his home state, along with other crew members.Additionally, the Tuscaloosa Air Show is honored to host an extraordinary lineup of military and civilian performers, including The U.S. Army Golden Knights, Rob Holland Ultimate Airshows, Younkin Airshows, and much more!

Guests will enjoy the thrill of aerial performances by many talented aviators’ incredible flying abilities.  The air show flight line will also feature static displays, including past and present military equipment exhibits, air show memorabilia and plenty of refreshments to keep you cool while you enjoy the inspiring feats of these pilots. Stop by and explore the variety of military aircrafts, the kids fun zone or just sit back and enjoy the show.

Please take time to talk to the Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen and Coast Guardsmen who are there to support the show. Many of the young men and women you will meet have already deployed numerous times to secure peace throughout the world. In addition to our uniformed personnel, we salute the military families who support their loved ones constantly answering the call of duty. Take a moment to thank these men and women who have routinely deployed to preserve the freedoms we enjoy every day. We are glad to honor these heroes.

On behalf of Tuscaloosa, Northport and Tuscaloosa County, we would like to thank our communities for the unprecedented support of this air show and the young men and women in uniform who make an event like this possible. The air show is our way of giving back to the community and to those heroes who came together after the catastrophic April 27, 2011 tornado.  We salute those who continue to help Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas move forward, and we are honored to share this incredible experience with you.  Enjoy the show!
